16 McFadyen's Lane is the perfect holiday property for your family. Private and secluded and set on 2 acres, it feels like you are miles away, even though you are only minutes from town. 16 McFadyen's Lane allows you to bring along your pets but please note that the back yard is NOT FENCED therefore you will need to keep a close eye on your pups if they tend to stray.

This property is managed on behalf of the owner by Bright Holidays (part of the Dickens Real Estate group)

CANCELLATION POLICY - STANDARD
• If notification of a cancellation or amendment is received more than 14 days prior to the booking arrival date, a fee of $110 (including GST) will apply and will be deducted from the deposit paid prior to the issuing of a refund.
• If notification of a cancellation is received 14 days or less prior to the booking arrival date no refund or credit will apply.

The newly renovated and fully equipped kitchen will make for a very comfortable stay. Dining seating for 6

LOUNGE & ENTERTAINMENT
The lounge features a combustion fire, Smart TV with WIFI on offer. A large L-shaped couch to fit everyone comfortably.

HEATING & COOLING
There is a combustion fire in the lounge, gas heater in the dining room and ducted cooling throughout. Please note a starter supply of firewood, kindling, fire-lighters and matches are supplied. Additional firewood can be purchased at local supermarkets and service stations.

BATHROOM
The updated bathroom features a shower, a bath and vanity. The toilet is separate as well as a second toilet off the laundry.

OUTDOORS
A generous undercover entertainment area with gas BBQ completes this holiday property. Set on 2 acres with established gardens, this really is a great place to kick back and relax.

PET POLICY
McFadyen's Lane is a pet friendly property however, the yard is not fully fenced therefore your pups will need to be monitored at all times.
We ask that you read our Terms & Conditions carefully to ensure you know your responsibilities with bringing your pet along to this property. So, we can continue to offer pet friendly accommodation we ask that you pick up after your pets. Excess cleaning charges will apply if the rules are not adhered to.

LAUNDRY
There is a washing machine and dryer, ironing board and iron in the laundry for your convenience.

PARKING
Under cover parking is provided for one car with room for another in the driveway. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION - there will be a caravan parked under part of the carport at the property. The caravan is empty but required to be kept on site at the moment.

    The house is small and cosy but it can easily accommodate 7 of us. Really warm with all the heating options. Have a big front yard and backyard for the kids to play. Very close to centre of town and very quite too.

    We had 7 of us stay for 7 nights. Overall it's a great home, although a bit dated it had pretty much everything we needed.
    The heating was fantastic, although it broke for a couple of days Bright Holidays were quick to get it fixed and had great communication.
    We had also ordered linen that didn't arrive but after a phone call we had it dropped off in around half an hour.
    Overall the place is comfortable and is very close to town. There was plenty of cooking pots and pans for family size meals. There was no salt, pepper, sauce etc so you would need to bring all of that yourself. We also had to buy bin bags, cling wrap, alfoil etc.
    It would be handy to have a chest of drawers in each room to unpack. 7 days out a suitcase was a bit tricky with the 4 kids.
    The washer and dryer was great too.
    The only downside to this property is the hot water. We were lucky to get 3 showers out of it. Usually we got a bath for the kids to share, 1 normal shower and 1 ultra fast shower. Then the last adult would have to have a cold shower or shower in the morning.
    Apart from the this property was great and we would most likely stay again.
    While in Bright be sure to check out the apple orchard, we hired bikes for half day from Bright electric bikes and rode them out. This was easy for our 8 and 10 year Olds. Also be sure to check out the trout farm and the deer and emu farms, both of these experiences were great for the kids.
    We also travelled to Mt Hotham, Falls Creek and Mount buffalo but our favourite was Cresta at mount buffalo. Excellent tobogganing, you won't find a better toboggan run. Also great cross country skiing. We went to the lookout for an alpine sunrise, this was incredible and a must do! Be sure to get there at least half an hour before the sun is due to rise!

    Positive experience! Had everything we needed for our snow weekend away. Approx 1hr 20mins to Falls Creek for skiing and boarding. Heating worked well and had optional fireplace stocked with some cut wood. The house was generally clean, but it is in need of a complete spring clean to really tidy it up. Oven not clean. Beds were all neatly presented. Take own sheets and bathroom towels as none available. No WIFI. Location was perfect: quiet street, nice sized block, walking distance to town, a Lookout walking track diagonally across the road. Amenities all worked well. Good communication from Property Manager and clear, easy key pick-up and drop-off instructions. Would use this Vacation Rental again.

    We came to Bright from Newcastle to explore the mountain bike trails, heard good things about the town and trails. The house location was ideal and comfortable for 4 of us. Easy ride to the trails and all restaurants, cafe's, brewery easy walking distance, will return again, maybe try a warmer season next time 👌
