Hampton Cottage

Experience a charming country atmosphere at the tranquil Hampton Cottage. Close to the centre of Bright, Pioneer Park and the river. This budget family retreat has plenty of space to relax, unwind and recharge those batteries. Pets are welcome but please note that the property is not fenced. Hampton Cottage is ideal for a small family or a couple looking for a relaxing escape in Bright.

This property is managed on behalf of the owner by Bright Holidays (part of the Dickens Real Estate group).

CANCELLATION POLICY - FLEXIBLE
• If notification of a cancellation or amendment is received more than 7 days prior to the booking arrival date, a fee of $110 (including GST) will apply and will be deducted from the deposit paid prior to the issuing of a refund.
• If notification of a cancellation is received 7 days or less prior to the booking arrival date no refund or credit will apply.

All cancellations are to be received via email. Please refer to our terms and conditions for our full cancellation policy.


BEDDING CONFIGURATION (Sleeps 6-8 guests)
Bedroom 1 - Queen bed
Bedroom 2 - Queen bed
Rumpus Room - 2 x King Single beds. There are also 2 x king single trundles under these two beds. If you wish to use them linen and blankets/pillows are provided on site and you will need to make the beds up.
*All linen and towels provided.

KITCHEN & DINING
You will find electric cooking, a refrigerator, a microwave and kitchen cupboards well-stocked with cutlery, crockery and cookware. The dining table seats 6-8.

There is no need to pack the gadget charger, just bring your cable, plug it in to the USB power point located in the kitchen and charge your phone, iPad or camera.

LOUNGE
With plenty of seating and a smart TV you will be more than comfortable in the open plan living/dining/kitchen area. WIFI is available.

HEATING & COOLING
A split system in the lounge area keeps the cottage cool in Summer and warm in Winter.

BATHROOM
The bathroom has a shower, vanity, electric column heater & clothes airer. The toilet is separate.

OUTDOORS
A quiet location with a large leafy front and backyard and within walking distance to Pioneer Park and the river. The cottage features a generous back deck with 6 burner gas BBQ and outdoor dining set. A firepit in the front yard is a great place to gather and toast marshmallows. You can access Morses Creek and the surrounding bike paths from the rear of the property.

PET POLICY
Pets are welcome but please note that the property is not fenced.
To ensure that Bright Holidays can continue to offer pet friendly accommodation, please pick up after your pets.

LAUNDRY
The laundry is equipped with a washing machine, dryer, ironing board & iron.

PARKING
Off-street parking and a carport complete this holiday property.

  We spent a weekend at this little cottage, it is in a great location with plenty of space for kids to run around. There is a river that runs out the back within a short walk.

  We enjoyed a perfect family getaway in this beautifully maintained cottage in the heart of Bright. Walking distance to the shopping centre and tourist amenities... restaurants, coffee shops, galleries and boutiques.We enjoyed the beautiful garden setting full of Autumnal colours with a river walk nearby. A great playing area for young children. Very dog friendly as well.

  Our stay was very satisfying, however I wasn't too impressed with the shower head. It wouldn't stay in an upright position and the head did fall off. It's clearly old and needs updating.
  
  Also we couldn't find a first aid kit in the property....
  
  The property was mostly clean, however there were lots of dead flies near windows and mold in the bathroom.

  The location was great, the garden was lovely, the kitchen was fairly well equipped - no sharp knives but that's pretty standard. The first night we ran out of hot water for showers, but we were very careful with usage and it was ok the next few days. There were rats/bats in the roof that kept us awake at night, my daughter didn't want to sleep in the top bunk because they were right next to her head in the wall scratching. When I told the agent she said definitely not rats, made me feel like I was making it up. She didn't come back with anything else. Except she did say it was budget accommodation so what did I expect ........ There was no linen, which we found out in time to bring our own, but there wasn't even a bathmat so the floor was always wet, no hand soap anywhere either. So very budget. But the location was good, right in town.

  This property rental ticked every box you could want. Brilliant views, magnificent yards, peaceful and serene. Kitchen was very generous with crockery, pans, trays, etc.. oven was excellent and spotless. Plenty of bedding and spotless. Bathroom ,toilet and laundry above average. AAA+

  Awesome location right on Morse's creek, kids loved exploring and swimming. Easy walking distance to town. Comfortable accommodation with the necessities, although a dishwasher would have been nice. House was tidy but needs some extensive pest control due to high mouse activity at night and prolific spider infestation. Surrounding trees would benefit from pruning to help with natural light. Wifi would also be plus as 4g signal was intermittent.

  The house is clean and although small, accommodated our family of 5. Has all the equipment you need for your stay but we took (and needed) hand soap, tissues, bin liners and extra toilet rolls. Air conditioning wonderful on hot days! Morses creek is at the back of the property which you can follow to the Ovens River. Walking, bike and mountain bike trails on your doorstep. A great property near everything at a very reasonable price.

  This is an outstanding house. The check in process was easy, the house was exceptionally well cleaned. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. It is really well situated with Morses Creek on the back doorstep - great on warm days after a ride.

  Hampton Cottage is not far from the centre of Bright. Comfy beds, has all the kitchen ware you need to be self sufficient. You can walk to the river from the back yard and is a 2 minute ride to Mystic Park so perfect for MTB. Very clean and a lovely big outdoor area to use too. Will stay there again.
