Bright River Cottage is a character filled cottage right on the Ovens River and only a very short walk to town. Sit back and relax on the front porch overlooking the Ovens River and the Star Bridge or enjoy the outlook from the rear verandah.

This property is managed on behalf of the owner by Bright Holidays (part of the Dickens Real Estate group).

CANCELLATION POLICY - STANDARD
• If notification of a cancellation or amendment is received more than 14 days prior to the booking arrival date, a fee of $110 (including GST) will apply and will be deducted from the deposit paid prior to the issuing of a refund.
• If notification of a cancellation is received 14 days or less prior to the booking arrival date no refund or credit will apply.

All cancellations are to be received via email. Please refer to our terms and conditions for our full cancellation policy.

All bedding and bath towels are provided at this property.

KITCHEN & DINING
The kitchen features a dishwasher, stove top and oven, microwave and fridge/freezer. All crockery and cutlery are provided for your convenience. The dining table is in the large lounge.

LOUNGE & ENTERTAINMENT
The large, open, light-filled lounge & dining area steps out on to the back verandah and garden. The large couch and chairs ensure your comfort whilst relaxing with a book or watching a movie on the Telstra TV or DVD player.

This property has WIFI

HEATING & COOLING
You will be comfortable all year round with a combustion fire and split system heating/cooling in the living/dining area, ceiling fans in two of the bedrooms and free standing electric column heaters in the bedrooms. Please note a starter supply of firewood, kindling, fire lighters and matches are supplied. Additional firewood can be purchased at local supermarkets and service stations.

BATHROOM
The bathroom has a shower and vanity with a separate toilet.

PET POLICY
Bright River Cottage is NOT pet friendly.

LAUNDRY
The laundry has a washing machine & clothes dryer as well as an iron and ironing board for your convenience.

PARKING
There is no under cover parking however you can easily accommodate two vehicles at the property.

  Beautiful cosy house, with modern kitchen and bathroom. Their fireplace seem to have been updated recently. It has great access to the river walk as well as only short walk to town centre. The only improvement is wiping dust layer from the bedside table. Overall a very comfortable home. We definitely will return again in the future when visiting Bright. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage. Perfect location, 3min walking from the river ans the city center, very clean and spacious property. The fireplace is a must when coming back from a long day skiing !

  The Bright Riverside Cottage is a newly renovated, cosy cottage overlooking the Ovens River. The location is meters away from the main shops, but tucked away privately. You walk out the front gate and the river is at your feet. It was lovely to return from a day of adventures and curl up on the comfy couches in front of the wood fire. We also appreciated the split system and individual heaters in the bedrooms. Would recommend this house on all levels - comfort, cosiness and location.

  Family of 5 and it felt like a home away from home for us.
  It was the small touches like the electric blankets on the bigger beds to keep you warm that we loved too. The home itself is clean and in peak winter it warmed quickly with the fireplace and/or reverse cycle heater. Oil heaters available for each bedroom too so no-one was going to be cold at night. Toys in the cupboard for the children was a huge hit and having a fully equipped kitchen with everything from scissors to plastic plates and bowls was awesome. It felt like the owners must spend time here for the house to be so well stocked and excellent appliances (dryer, dishwasher, coffee machine and microwave and great oven). Great location - loved being able to walk to dinner in the evening. We just had the best time and would love to stay again. Thank you for sharing your home with us - we loved it!

  Beautiful kitchen and bathroom, comfortable beds. Location great walking distance to everything. Disappointed however that they don’t tell you there is a construction of units happening along one side of the house. Couldn’t open blinds in lounge area otherwise staring into a construction site. They still charged full amount. The accommodation managers were unhelpful when it came to us trying to reschedule. A business in Bright needed to reschedule us as we were there delivering and assembling to a local business. Being outside the 14 cancellation period by a few days, bad luck you will still be charged full amount or if reschedule that would cost $110 just to change the date.. so unreasonable! I would not go through them ever again.

  Beautiful home right on river and moments from Main Street. Kitchen fully equiped and super comfy beds. Lovely, clean and homely.
  Suggestion would be to have the keys clearly marked as not sure if the screen door keys were not provided or just didn’t work. Also I think the air con unit has been update (works very well) but the manual in the drawer was for a different unit.
  Overall a very relaxing and comfortable time at River Cottage.

  The only thing I would like to strongly suggest that a permanent step with non slip covering be positioned at the bath with hand rails.

  We stayed at Bright River Cottage on a visit arranged somewhat last minute. We found the manager very responsive and were delighted to find the property very conveniently located near the centre of Bright. Despite this, it was surprisingly peaceful, we even spent one evening looking at the stars. The property was clean, well presented and very well equipped, particularly the kitchen. There is lots of parking, with room to move. It was a welcome find, a very enjoyable base from which to explore Bright and surrounds.

  Love this house & have stayed here on a few occasions, Location, size, crisp linen, best decked out kitchen I have come across. Only complaint is they have sold off the front land & the garden has gone & with that your privacy. Don’t think I would rent again because of that.

  We loved staying in this very comfortable, well equipped house. It was very close to town and overlooking the river. Lovely and light, great kitchen, comfy beds. The only suggestion would be to have a bit of outdoor furniture. The weather was lovely when we were there but nothing to sit on outside. Would highly recommend this house.
