AVC - Birch Cottage

Birch Cottage is the perfect place to stay for 1-2 couples, or a small family with kids.
Enjoy the ambiance of the open fire in winter or sit in the sunny garden or on the deck in the warmer months. You may prefer to stay in and cook using the fully equipped kitchen or head out to dine in one Bright's quality resturants.

This property is managed on behalf of the owners by Bright Holidays (part of the Dickens Real Estate group)

CANCELLATION POLICY - STANDARD
• If notification of a cancellation or amendment is received more than 14 days prior to the booking arrival date, a fee of $110 (including GST) will apply and will be deducted from the deposit paid prior to the issuing of a refund.
• If notification of a cancellation is received 14 days or less prior to the booking arrival date no refund or credit will apply.

All cancellations are to be received via email. Please refer to our terms and conditions for our full cancellation policy.

Keep toasty & warm in the winter with the wood fire heater and a reverse cycle air conditioner for during our hot summer months. Please note a starter supply of firewood, kindling, fire lighters and matches are supplied. Additional firewood can be purchased at local supermarkets and service stations.

Enjoy the privacy with two spacious bathrooms, one includes a luxurious spa bath.

OUTDOORS
The verandah is perfect for those warm summer evenings to cook some dinner on the electric BBQ. There is a lockable shed to store your bikes overnight.

  The cottage is spacious for a two bedroom unit. Both rooms have their own bathroom with plenty of room. The kitchen well stocked with all necessities (Sharp knives ; winner)
  Minor improvement point is I would prefer a gas barbecue, the electric one couldn’t run a stable temperature.
  Otherwise this place has everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

  The property address is confusing, I don't think the address of Porcelato helps. We booked through Booking .com and was conifrmed a Price Fees & Charges included. The Property Agent, although the property agent sent a email advising the cost would be more, they did say that if the property had been booked thorugh a 3rd party to ignore the email cost. I did ignore the additional cost, however I was charged in the end the increased cost. I would advise future tenants to be careful and watchout for additional charge.

  The online description of Birch Cottage gave a very accurate picture of what to expect. The location of Birch Cottage was perfect. The short walk to the centre of Bright along a tree lined walking path meant we could enjoy the colours of autumn as we strolled into town for our morning coffee.
  
  The cottage itself was tucked away in a quiet spot. The wood burning heater gave off a gentle heat, keeping all of the rooms at just the right temperature. Having the reverse cycle air conditioner as a back up was great when arriving back at the cottage at the end of a long day. Having a bathroom for each bedroom was excellent and we made good use of the european laundry, which had both a washing machine and dryer.
  
  The whole experience of booking the cottage through to packing up and returning the keys was made easy by the timely, clear instructions which were emailed. On arrival, the place was very clean and clearly well maintained. The kitchen had adequate cooking utensils, and crockery and cutlery for a group wanting to prepare a simple meal, which is all that our group required, given we were wanting a break from home duties.
  
  I would certainly recommend Birch Cottage to a friend or relative, and would book this accommodation for future stays in Bright.

  Very pleasant cottage. Beautiful birdlife right at the cottage. No wood supplied but weather turned out to be to warm for a fire. Maybe I missed a note re wood on booking. Really enjoyed out stay. Warning! If you intend eating out in Bright, book your restaurants before heading there. We couldn't get in anywhere for both Saturday and Sunday nights. Other wise a lovely holiday.
