Let this gorgeous 5 bedroom family property set in lovely grounds welcome you to your getaway in the beautiful town of Porepunkah.
The stone and timber cottage has so much charm and appeal but of course with all the modern conveniences. With the rail trail into Bright right at your doorstep and walking distance to the Rail trail Café, Porepunkah Pub, Punkah Pantry, the picturesque Porepunkah Golf Course and of course the idyllic picnic setting down beside the Ovens River.
Upstairs is 2 bedrooms with a bathroom and a separate lounge, downstairs is the other 3 bedrooms, a slow combustion wood fire bathroom and laundry. This is a place where special memories are made and you will be telling all your friends to book this property for their next family getaway.

CANCELLATION POLICY - STANDARD
• If notification of a cancellation or amendment is received more than 14 days prior to the booking arrival date, a fee of $110 (including GST) will apply and will be deducted from the deposit paid prior to the issuing of a refund.
• If notification of a cancellation is received 14 days or less prior to the booking arrival date no refund or credit will apply.

KITCHEN/DINING
Modern, corner kitchen with barstool seating on the island bench for two. Dishwasher and all the items you need to prepare and cook some delicious meals. Dining table with seating for 8.

LOUNGEROOM/ENTERTAINMENT
Downstairs - Open plan loungeroom with a 3-seater lounge with chaise plus another 3-seater lounge, with a slow combustion woodfire, Smart TV and WIFI.
Upstairs - separate lounge with seating for 6 and a Smart TV to idle away or grab one of the books and sit back and enjoy the vista from upstairs.

HEATING/COOLING
Split system heating and cooling upstairs and downstairs, plus slow combustion fire place in loungeroom downstairs. Please note a starter supply of firewood, kindling, fire lighters and matches are supplied (from May to September only). Additional firewood can be purchased at local supermarkets and service stations.

BATHROOMS
Downstairs - Main bathroom with separate shower and bath, a door interconnects with bedroom 1 and there is a separate toilet this bathroom is located downstairs.
Upstairs – Shower, toilet and vanity.

LAUNDRY
Laundry has a top loader washing machine, clothesline located outside, ironing board and iron and clothes airer's provided for your convenience.

PET POLICY
This property does allow you to bring your pets however please be aware the property is not fenced at all.
*Please ensure you pick up after your pets and keep them off furniture, excess cleaning fees may be taken from your bond.

OUTDOORS
BBQ located outside and outdoor lounges, plenty of space to sit and enjoy the surrounds.
*Please be aware that this property runs along a public creek and small children should be supervised at all times while outside.

PARKING
There is no undercover parking available at this property. Driveway has room to park 3 cars comfortably.

    Fantastic location and house, home away from home. Only downside was there is no insulation in the walls so you can hear everyone in the house from the bedrooms, and the house needs some fly wires on windows. Would stay here again.

    We enjoyed staying in Porepunkah for our summer visit & had a great time cycling throughout the Bright area and visiting the local, friendly Porepunkah Pub a number of times. The house was fine for us given our late booking, albeit larger than the 2 of us needed.
    The high level of noise transfer from the upper floor to the rooms below would be annoying with more people in the house.
    Given the advertised references to Smart TV - we expected the downstairs lounge TV to offer internet/streamed TV services - however it was only available on the upstairs TV. It was rather hot upstairs requiring the air conditioner vs the cooler rooms on the ground floor.
    We also thought there was going to be a small coffee machine eg Nespresso - however there wasn't. Suggest this to the owners as an addition.
    It was otherwise a peaceful and relaxing house and garden.
